California needs rain. And I know the upcoming drought is going to be bad. But oh how I’ve been enjoying the mid-winter sunshine. (Sorry to gloat polar vortex people, we’ll be paying for it soon enough.)

With thoughts of solidarity for fellow Americans blanketed beneath snow dumped by the polar vortex whirling around much of our nation, I toyed with idea of taking the boys ice skating. (It’s 70 degrees and sunny bordering on dangerous drought conditions here.)

Many bloggers talk openly about their struggles with anxiety and depression. I am one of them. But have you ever wondered what exactly they’re talking about?

Have you ever had an argument with someone you care about? One where you mentally plan out how the conversation will go but they stubbornly refuse to stick to the script you created for them?

The Dinosaur and the Watermelon (Based on a True Story)

Once upon a time there was a dinosaur.

He said RAWR. Others laughed when he rawred. Sometimes they would rawr back, which would make the dinosaur rawr louder.

Everyone would laugh. There would be more rawring. Louder rawring.

So much rawring can make a dinosaur hungry. (Dinosaurs can get very cranky if their blood sugar gets low, you know.)
