It’s so FUZZY!

I went to Costco to pick up munchies to serve after the muppets baptism on Saturday. I just stopped by quickly after work; it’s on the way home.

And then I saw it. The giant stuffed bear.

My first memory of these bears was almost exactly a year ago now. Keary Dee (famously fabulous photog) had the same light bulb experience before shooting the muppets homecoming session. “Just think of all the fabulous uses!” she’d excitedly shared. Clearly a genius.

I couldn’t believe the bears were STILL there.

THEY’RE SO FUZZY!

Just one hug. I’ll just give the bear one hug. Then I will continue on my mission to find the party platters. (C’mon now, did you actually think I’d even consider making the treats myself?)

As the 53-inch plush brown bear engulfed me in his warm embrace, I was overcome with emotion. I MUST HAVE HIM. Our fates were intertwined; the bear was destiny. Destiny! I shall call him Destiny, and he shall be bestest friends with the muppets and me.

SQUEEEEEEEE!

I proudly drove my cart around, full of beary goodness.

I was grinning from ear-to-ear when we arrived home. Jon walked around to the back of the car, looked at me, and looked at the bear. “Seriously?” he shook his head at me.

“HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!” I squealed.

“Really? That’s what we’re going with?”

“Happy Baptism?”

“Yeah. Let’s go with that.”

I’ve always had an affinity for stuffed animals. They’re wonderfully cuddly. The muppets already have a few – some passed down from Mom, and some purchased just for my little men. There are still between six and 27 large black trash bags stuffed along the rafters of my parents’ garage.

The moment Destiny’s furry padded bottom hit our living room floor, Destroy crawled right over into his lap. A perfect end to a day begun by standing at the toy chest flinging one plush friend out after another.

SO CUDDLY! SO. CUDDLY. <HUG>

Your “cuddlies” are no longer in plastic trash bags, but in huge plastic tubs along the rafters of the garage. Want them? They could hug your garage!
