Of course they have their secret identities. Don\u2019t all the superheroes? Because really, who wants the pressure of being super all the time? (It\u2019s hard being a million dollar miracle muppet.)<\/p>\n<p>Much like the secret life of any superhero, certain situations call for the supersuit. (\u201cHoney?! Where\u2019s my supersuit? &#8230; Because I need it!\u201d) And it is then that our hero perseveres \u2013 even in the face of a villain trying to thwart them of their powers.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><em>Earlier this morning\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Me:<\/strong> It\u2019s raining! (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.streamdoubletrouble.com\/2012\/03\/15\/this-is-my-life\/\">It\u2019s been a rainy week.<\/a>) That means they can wear their jackets today. Yay!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jon:<\/strong> Those are ridiculous.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Me:<\/strong> No. They are awesome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jon:<\/strong> &lt;Shakes head. Comprehends that there is NO way he\u2019s going to talk me out of this particular fashion decision.&gt;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Me:<\/strong> Better than your hobo suit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Destroy:<\/strong> Batman! &lt;Runs to jacket.&gt;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Me:<\/strong> See?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Search:<\/strong> Noooo! &lt;Runs to other side of room.&gt;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jon:<\/strong> See?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Me:<\/strong> They. Are. Adorable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jon:<\/strong> Fine but we\u2019re taking off the capes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Me:<\/strong> I can\u2019t believe you\u2019re taking off the capes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jon:<\/strong> I can\u2019t believe you\u2019re making them wear these.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Me:<\/strong> The capes are awesome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jon:<\/strong> No capes. They\u2019re not safe. They are a choking hazard.<\/p>\n<p>I acquiesced to this. He had a point. \u201cNo capes, dahling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jy2YhxXn7NY\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And then it was time for school. To learn all the things. But mostly to wreak havoc on the playground while showing off how adorable my favorite superheroes truly are.<\/p>\n<p>Search leaned over to kiss me goodbye. Then he looked up expectantly at me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat are you waiting for little man?<\/p>\n<p>He smiled and shrugged his arms. The sparkle in his eyes and the melody of his laugh replied, \u201cI don\u2019t know. Something amazing, I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sigh. You are amazing, kid.
