A Completely Ordinary, Totally Typical Day

We close out the 2012 Summer School Mud-Pie season with a typical day. An accident report.

Destroy bonked his head. To paraphrase:

Kid was running amuck and fell. Unclear what mischief he was up to that ultimately caused the latest goose egg. Hugs required.

 I know this shocks you.

  1. I get that call at least twice a school year. It is fun, isn’t it? I have to send notes in to explain cuts, bumps and bruises sometimes, because my boys are so rough, they are always sporting some kind of injury.

My cousin was so clumsy that my aunt stopped taking him to the doctor/ER because she was terrified someone would call CPS on her.

  2. I swear, the other day, Leila was in the middle of the room, with nothing around her. And she fell, scraping her knee on a smooth floor.

Fascinating, these kids are, aren’t they?

My son is now 6 and STILL unbelievably clumsy. He falls all the time with nothing around him. I like to say “Gravity is strong in this one.”

Like the name change – will you be changing it legally?
